Kevin Murphy: 2014 Triton HoF Inductee
The June 26 event honored Kevin Murphy, who traveled to San Clemente to be in attendance.
The Minnesota Vikings offensive lineman was introduced by Jon Hamro, San Clemente High’s athletic director, who said a few words about Murphy before he took the stage. Hamro reflected on Murphy’s career goals of one day playing in the NFL, but also his other goal of trying to find a cure for cancer.
Head Coach Jaime Ortiz said it was a chance for Murphy to have a little of the spotlight after years of letting others shine.
