Jaime Ortiz - Head Coach
EDUCATION: BS Kinesiology from Cal State Fullerton with an emphasis in Secondary Education and a Masters in Athletic Administration and Coaching from Concordia University.
PLAYING/COACHING EXPERIENCE: Played Inside Linebacker and graduated from Capistrano Valley in 1993. Coach Ortiz has coached football for the past nineteen years with the last eleven as the Varsity Defensive Coordinator. Coach Ortiz is excited to be taking on the new role of as Head Football Coach of the San Clemente Tritons.
INTERESTS: Proud San Clemente resident that enjoys weight lifting, mountain biking, beach activities, and enjoying what life brings me.
FAMILY: Married to my lovely wife Ryan who is an elementary school teacher at Vista Del Mar Elementary. We have one son and just had a baby girl named Maddyn this past January. We are expecting our third child this coming October. You will see my son Jackson terrorizing quarterbacks for the Tritons in the near future.

PLAYING/COACHING EXPERIENCE: 4 yr letterman at USC, 2 yr starter, Morris Trophy Winner and 1st round draft pick of the New England Patriots 5 yrs., Oakland Raiders 3 yrs

Entering 11th season of coaching high school football and 7th at SCHS. Has primarily coached quarterbacks and is going on 2nd year as Offensive Coordinator. Attended the University of Pacific and played QB in college(1989-1992). Played in Arena Football and Canadian Football Leagues.

Jeff Bailey - Receivers & Def Backs
Coach Bailey began coaching in his native Connecticut, where he played both football and basketball. Coach Bailey earned a Bachelors of Science degree from Springfield College in Springfield Massachusetts. He completed his Master’s in Education at the University of Connecticut in Storrs Connecticut. Coach Bailey lives in San Clemente with his wife Rebecca, Son’s Christian and Jake, and Daughter Brooklyn. This will be Coach Bailey’s second season with Triton Football.

Ken Goldstone: Defensive Backs

PLAYING/COACHING EXPERIENCE:
Playing: Football, Basketball and Volleyball at Saddleback JC and CSU Chico.
Coaching: 1984-2012 @ San Clemente, Capistrano Valley and Aliso Niguel High Schools: Varsity Assistant Football, Boys Head Basketball and Volleyball. Highlights: Part of 2 CIF Championship Football Staffs at CVHS (1990) and ANHS (1996); South Coast League Champions in Volleyball (CVHS and SCHS) 12 times in 18 years and 2 trips to the CIF Finals. Overall Head Coaching VB Record: 359-113; Basketball: 66-65.
INTERESTS: Staying fit and working out at the gym, playing beach volleyball and basketball, and spending time with the family here in San Clemente, and in Kauai.
FAMILY: Wife: Sandi (26 years) and Sons Adam (21) and Nicolas (16).

EDUCATION: Torrey Pines High School / Oregon State University BS Political Science
PLAYING/COACHING EXPERIENCE: 3 Sport (Football, Soccer, Baseball) Athlete at Torrey Pines High School, 7 Varsity Letters, 2 CIF Championships and was named all league in all 3 sports. Worked under Dennis Erickson at Oregon State University for 3 years, including a Pac 10 & Fiesta Bowl Championship. Joined SCHS FB in Fall of 2011 coaching Defensive Backs and helped lead the Tritons to the CIF Finals. I am actively involved in Commercial/Residential Real Estate and work at VOIT Real Estate Services and live in San Clemente.

Oscar Montecinos - Jr. Varsity Head Coach and Offensive Coordinator
A San Clemente Alumni (class of 1998), Montecinos was an All South Coast League player in football, basketball, and baseball. He moved on to Saddleback College where he played football and basketball. Then he attended Greenville Christian College in Illinois, where he continued to play basketball and was voted captain of the football team. Montecinos earned his B.A. in both Criminal Justice and History with a minor in Political Science.
Currently the Physical Education, High School History, and Spanish teacher at Heritage Christian School in Mission Viejo. Oscar Montecinos is excited to return to his alma mater and contribute to the development of the student athletes at San Clemente High School.
Jason Diaz - Linebackers Coach & Defensive Coordinator
EDUCATION: San Clemente High School Graduate, attended Saddleback College
PLAYING/COACHING EXPERIENCE:PLAYING/COACHING EXPERIENCE: Played inside and outside linebacker for the Tritons, been coaching since 2006, all for the Tritons. Defensive Coordinator since 2009.
INTERESTS: Spending time with my family,coaching my kids in sports, movies, the beach

EDUCATION: Occidental College, Los Angeles (BA). Pacific Lutheran, Theological Seminary, Berkeley (M.Div.)
PLAYING/COACHING EXPERIENCE: Grew up in the High Desert attending and playing for Apple Valley, Senior High. Played College football at Occidental College, Los Angeles. Coached Offensive and Defensive Line at Klahowha High School, Silverdale, WA (6 years) and at Castle Rock High School, Castle Rock, WA. Also with Park and Rec Flag football and Pop Warner here in San Clemente.
INTERESTS: Labradoodles, The Simpsons, Russian Literature and Art
FAMILY: Have lived here in San Clemente for 10 years with wife Kelly, two sons Andrew and Aaron
2012 Freshman Coaching Staff
Coach Jonathan Todd - Head Freshman Coach
Jonathan Todd has been coaching high school for the past sixteen years. He was the head football coach at Laguna Beach High School from 2007–2010. In 2008, LBHS won its first CIF playoff game in 21 years, and in 2009 they took home the undefeated Orange Coast League Championship. During those seasons, Todd coached three-time All-CIF and Orange County career TD record-holder Chris Paul. In 2011, he decided to coach his son in Pop Warner, while also coaching QBs/RBs at JSerra Catholic High School.

Coach Todd is a 1987 graduate of LBHS, where he earned All-CIF, All-State honors as a runningback. He went on to play at Saddleback College and was an All-Conference linebacker (1988), and Pony Bowl MVP. He moved on to Idaho State and finished at UC Santa Barbara. He has been a social science teacher at LBHS for 15 years, and lives in San Clemente with his wife, Grace, and three children: Koa, 11; Makai, 8; and Malia, 6.
Coach Doug Dill - Offensive Coordinator/Quarterbacks
A San Clemente Alum (Class of 88), Coach Dill has come home as he returns to San Clemente High School to teach Social Science and coordinate the freshman offense. Coach Dill has an extensive coaching background dating back to 1993 as he has coached Varsity QB's and WR's at SCHS and CVHS. He has also coached WR's and RB's at the college level when he coached at Saddleback College with former Triton Head Coach Mark McElroy.
Coach Dill graduated from Long Beach State and earned his Masters in Education in 1997. He is a life time San Clemente resident and is married to the wonderful and very talented Dr. Laura Dill. They have two wonderful children and enjoy what life brings them everyday. The San Clemente Coaching Staff is excited to have a former Triton great back on the SCHS campus!
David Malone LB/RB B Defensive Coordinator
Coach Malone started his youth coaching career 22 years ago as a High School baseball coach. He has coached many sports over the years at many levels, but most recently he has been coaching the Pop Warner youth football program in San Clemente for the past 5 years. Coach Malone displays great passion for teaching youth football. His goal is to prepare young athletes mentally and physically to reach their highest goals by mentoring and pushing them to be the best they can be.
Kelly Pollard
Coach Pollard returns for his 16th year as a coach for the Tritons. Coach Pollard will be assisting in the day to day operations of the freshman football program and will be in charge of scouting for the Tritons. Coach Pollard helps with scouting for the Triton wrestling program as well. Coach Pollard is a proud resident of San Clemente with his lovely wife Diane and enjoys camping, motorcycle riding, golf, and spending time with his family.

INTERESTS: Coaching Triton Football; family; education; body surfing; marital arts; world history; traveling.
FAMILY: Maria Christina beautiful fantastic wife of 46 years; son Tony Villanueva (ex-Triton Football-Basketball All South Coast Player- Saint Mary's College, B/B player NCAA's 1989, Professional B/B player CIBA League & Europe); Shannon Marie Villanueva/Kerr Triton grad 1994, son-in-law Gary Kerr formally of Glasgow, Scotland, grandson Preston Scot 6 years old, & beautiful granddaughter Giana Milan 2 years old.
