Played Inside Linebacker and graduated from Capistrano Valley in 1993. Coach Ortiz has coached football for the past twenty-seven years with nineteen at San Clemente High School. He has been the Head Coach of Triton Football since 2012.

PLAYING/COACHING EXPERIENCE: Played QB and basketball in high school, then QB at University of Arkansas, including an Orange Bowl victory. Coached since 1985, largely as a head Varsity Coach, winning numerous league championships and a D-1 CCS championship in Northern California. Also had the privilege of coaching at University of Nevada, including a Hula Bowl victory.
