How to join Triton Football

  1. Register for classes at San Clemente High School, including 6th Period Football/PE. You can reach your Academic Advisor by calling San Clemente High School at 949-492-4165.
  2. Complete the SportsEngine Registration Process for the 2022 Triton Football Season (indicate "Freshman" when asked which team you expect to play on). Once you register, it can take 1-2 days for you to be added to the Freshmen Team Roster. Once added to the Roster, you will be able to access the Freshmen Team Page. Detailed instructions on how to register are available in our Player Registration Guide.
  3. SCHS has moved to a full online Athletic Clearance Process as of the 2020-2021 season. All players will need to complete the process, including uploading a completed Sports Physical form prior to start of on-field activities.

NOTE: you will not be able to access the Freshmen Team Page until your Registration in Step 3 above is complete and you have been added to the Freshmen Team Roster.

FAQs

Q: Is San Clemente High School Triton Football a "cut" sport?
A: Freshman Football is a non-cut sport.

Q: What if I've never played football before?
A: Many of our incoming Freshmen have never played organized tackle football before. Our goal is to teach players the game of football and to give everyone some time on the field. Depending on roster size, we may have two Freshmen teams ("A" Team and "B" Team) and many of our "A" games will include a "5th Quarter" for players who did not receive significant playing time during the first 4 quarters.
